“Caesar” | Weekly Photo Challenge – Spring

Anole on petunia plant

Springtime is about renewal. New plants and flowers bloom in a rainbow of color. Not to be outdone, the animal kingdom is just as colorful. For my interpretation of last week’s photo challenge, meet Caesar, a fun loving little anole that worked very hard to prevent me from getting this picture.

My girlfriend bought me a collared shirt for my birthday, mainly so I don’t get too far ahead of her when she takes me for a walk.~Jarod Kintz

Another six worder for the Flash Fiction challenge. I must be on a six word roll.

So why am I depressed? That’s the million-dollar question, baby, the Tootsie Roll question; not even the owl knows the answer to that one. I don’t know either. All I know is the chronology.~Ned Vizzini, It’s Kind of a Funny Story

Loki Found the Mouse

Loki is one of two cats that allow us to live in this house with them. He was introduced to the world-wide-WordPressosphere in the post entitled “Meet the Family Critters.” He has been featured in a few more posts since then. In the post called “Loki and the Mouse” he was, as you might expect, searching for a mouse. Not really, but that is what I titled the photo.

Ta-daaaaa!!!! He has found the mouse, and here he is keeping careful watch in case it escapes.

A cat has absolute emotional honesty: human beings, for one reason or another, may hide their feelings, but a cat does not.~Ernest Hemingway
